Best time to go

Of all the twelve months, June is the best season to go to Fuji-Q Highland. In June, there is no much rain and weather is mild, most importantly, it is not so crowed. Tuesday to Friday are better choice, if weekday is fine for you.

  • Weather: Mostly sunny

【maximum temperature】30℃~ 17℃ Average 24.2℃
【minimum/maximum temperature】21℃~6℃ Average 14.6℃

  • Clothes

Shirt with half sleeves is better choice, but do not remember to bring a thin coat with you.

  • Congestion situation

Weekday (usual case): top 4 popular attraction’s latency is from 0.5~1.5 hour.

On weekends or holidays (crowed): it can be about 1.5~2 hours.

As for summer and spring vacation period (Super crowed): it lasts about 2~4hours.

Sat.:crowed~super crowed

Holidays:no holiday on June

※Attractions such as Fujiyama and Dodonpa will be stopped while rainy days.

  • So what should I prepare before going?

Here is the checking list for you,

  • Let us purchase the free pass in advance!

Since it might cost over 1 hour lining up for tickets.

Things better to bring

  • Drinks
  • Comfortable clothes and shoes
  • Raincoat or clothes get dry quickly & shoes okay to get wet
  • Hat or cap (Flat ones are better since you have to take it off during parade and show )
  • Umbrella (For both sunshine and rain)
  • Towel for cooling
  • Sunscreen
  • Small electric fan

Make your own traveling plan!

It is much better to have a plan before going, which attractions to play and which restaurant you are going to reserve.

Below is the ranking of attractions’ popularity, hope it can help making your plan:

Attractions’ popularity

  • Latency Ranking No. 1: The most popular TOP 4

Super Scary Labyrinth of Fear

Most people come to Fuji-Q just for these four, which makes it usually

costs a long time to wait. Max latency: 4 h

  • Latency Ranking No. 2: Faster speed

The same popularity with the top 4, yet its own fast speed makes the

latency shorter than the others.

  • Latency Ranking No. 3:Alittle bit shorter

Tekkotsu Bancho

Sengoku Basara

Compared with the top 4, latency of these four are shorter, in most of the cases are less than 120mins.

  • Latency Ranking No. 4:Much shorter

Mad Mouse

Red Tower

Except for the peak period, these attractions are quiet empty.

  • Latency Ranking No. 5:Extremly crowed only in summer

Super Scary Labyrinth of Fear

GeGeGe no Kitaro

Attractions above are quiet empty in winter, however, when it turns into summer, they can be super crowed! Especially Nagashimasuka in summer, is almost the same with the top 4.

Finally is the very day!! There are some useful tips for you :

  • Reach the park one hour before opening!
  • Use free internet Service for 30mins!

Wi-Fi connection can be used in Fujikyu Highland.
Institution for a Wi-Fi spot: Hood stadium Bouhatei Lagoon restaurant K’s Thomas cafe
It is connectable for free once in the 1st day till 30 minutes. When you exceed 30 minutes, in re-connection, please purchase a use ticket with the above-mentioned institution. (1day-ticket 100)

Reference page:

Use coin locker to reduce your bags!

Putting some of your bags in the locker helps you to move faster and keep more energy for attractions.

※There are coin lockers located in different areas of the park such as near the first park entrance, near the second park entrance, near Food Stadium, in Thomas Land, etc. Approx. 700 different lockers available.

Use to Fast pass to speed up!

Attractions such as FUJIYAMA, Dodonpa, Super Scary Labyrinth of Fear, Nagashimasuka, Eejanaika, Takabisha and Tekkotsu Bancho have Fast pass to help you enjoy the attraction without lining up. The price is JPY 1000 per person at a time, surely you might think it is too expensive but there are only 10 Fast passes sold per hour, it really worthy!

Best way to enjoy roller coasters on crowed days.

If unfortunately, you visit Fuji-Q Highland on a crowed day, do not worry, try coasters in this way, go Dodonpa as soon as you enter the park ,then Eejanaika , Fujiyama lastly. Since the capacity of Dodonpa is only 8 people, it costs about 4~5 hours lining up in the afternoon of weekends. The rest two have more capacity, making the latency much shorter.

Keep the Poncho for sudden rain!

Weather in the mountain is uncertain, thus it is better to keep the poncho (JPY 100) you buy at Nagashimasuka, Great ZABOON. Or you can bring one bring home.

  • Some attractions stopped during the rain restart soon after the rain stops, and it can be quiet empty. Take this great chance!

Ways to enjoy even if it rains!

  • Try indoor attractions such as Super Scary Labyrinth of Fear, Gundam Crisis and Sengoku Basara!
  • Coasters like Fujiyama is still open if it does not rain that much.

Eejanaika and Dodonpa are the first two to be stopped when it rains.
