No.1 Saihoji temple (Kokedera)


Saihoji temple (西芳寺) is commonly known as Kokedera (苔寺). Kokedera is one of the World Heritages Sites in Kyoto. He often visited this temple with his family.

No.2 Sushi Iwa

Sushi Iwa restaurant is a sushi restaurant in Kyoto that Steve Jobs visited. He said, “This is the best sushi that I’ve ever had”. Here, you can taste very fresh and delicious sushi. In addition, the chef also speaks English very well.

No.3 Misoka-an Kawamichi-ya


This is a 200-year old, traditional soba specialty restaurant in Kyoto. Not only Steve Jobs but also Tom Cruise, Robert De Niro, and other celebrities visited this restaurant.

No.4 Tawaraya


Tawaraya is a traditional Japanese style hotel with over 300 years history in Kyoto. Steve Jobs stayed at a special room called Gyosuian (暁翠庵). Tom Cruise had also visited this hotel as well.

No.5 Ryoanji temple




Ryoanji temple is a Zen temple in Kyoto and one of the World Heritage Sites. This temple is very famous for its rock garden. Steve jobs used to come here to meditate.
