No.1 Katsura Imperial Villa


Katsura Imperial Villa is a purely Japanese architecture and garden. The villa can be watched only from tours that is held by the Imperial Household Agency. You can walk around the central pond in the garden during the tour.

The tour is applied only from the website and if you want to take part in the tour, you should apply before two or three months.

No.2 Ryoanji Temple


Ryoanji temple is a Zen temple in Kyoto and one of the World Heritage Sites. This temple is very famous for its rock garden, a garden expressing the natural beauty without water. Steve jobs used to come here to meditate.

No.3 Shoren-in


You can walk around the central pond, and can drink powdered green tea and eat Japanese sweet (JPY 500), seeing the pond from the drawing room. In the evening of spring and autumn, special light show is held. And tea ceremony room is open in spring and autumn.

No.4 Kenninji Temple


Kennninji Temple is the oldest Zen Temple in Kyoto and there are three gardens.

No.5 Tohukuji Temple


Tohukuji Temple is the largest and oldest in Kyoto. And there are four gardens in the main building of the temple. In other buildings around the main buildings, you can enjoy powdered tea and Japanese sweet seeing gardens. (not the four gardens)
