No.1 bar K-ya (K家)
The bar is formerly machiya, an old style of house in Kyoto. The dim light inside generates the atmosphere. Their seasonal cocktails using fresh fruits are really nice as well as their standard drinks. Here is a great place when you want to chill out after dinner.

Their trademark is Kawadoko, terrace facing the river, which is open during summer time (May to September). Drinking in the night, feeling the breeze from Kamo River is just perfect to finish your day of exploring in Kyoto.

No.3 Café/Bar OIL
This place is on the 6th floor of a building slightly remote from the city center and has a large roof-top terrace. They don’t have menu, so they make anything according to your request. It’s also a good place to go when you feel like listening to modern jazz music. The price here is quite reasonable.

No.4 Matamoya (またもや)
This is a bar specializing in Sake. Their specialty is that they serve sake in wine glass so that taste of sake gets even better. Moreover, they have all-you-can-drink plan for sake. If you are a big fan of sake, here is the place you must go!

No.5 Asakura (あさくら)
This is also a sake bar. There is always a huge collection of sake, including rare aged ones. The owner can speak English fluently and has a deep knowledge about sake. They only have a small number of seats, so we recommend you to call them first.
