頼朝の死後、
鎌倉幕府は頼りない愚息ども×妻の実家・北条家の執権で続いていきます。

しかし、幕府に虐げられてきた天皇やら
地方のあらくれサムライ（＝悪党）が跋扈。

（ちなみに悪党イコールつわもの、not悪事を働く人ね。や、働いてたかも）


有名なのは、楠木正成なる人物。
「天皇バンザイ！！」と倒幕のために働いたサムライで、
ゲリラ戦法で幕府軍を押したとか。

そんな彼に触発されたかのように足利尊氏も倒幕に加担していきます。

で、めでたくも？幕府は滅亡。

天皇による政治が始まるのですが、
これまたサムライどもから不興を買っちゃう。
庶民の生活を知らん人だからね…


そんな天皇に足利尊氏が反旗を翻す！！

というか、この人、幕府についたり、天皇についたり…
世渡りうますぎ！！

もくろみ通り、天皇を政治から退けさせ、
彼は、京都に新しく室町幕府を設立させます。


しかし、昨日の友は今日の敵。

尊氏の弟vs尊氏の右腕・高師直が勃発。
もーぐだぐだ。


室町時代といえば

金閣寺や能・狂言などの芸能、
銀閣寺に見られるわび・さび文化と
文化事業が大きく発達した時代。

でも、農民やら宗教やらの反乱がよく起こっていたとゆー、
かーなーりやぱめな空気漂う時代でもありました。

というか、幕府がダメすぎるからだ。

「一夜むなしく」で知られる応仁の乱は、

お家騒動から始まり、将軍職争いにつながり、
京都にとんでもない戦火を招きました。

祇園祭も中止になっちゃいましたよ、もー！！


そんなダメダメ幕府を横目に
各地のサムライたちがじわじわと頭をもたげ始めるのですが…

今回の注目スポット
金閣寺…
ご存知、金色が目にまぶしいゴージャスなお寺。室町幕府の3代将軍・義満の元お住まい。
ちなみにその前のおうち兼職場は、同志社大の寒梅館らへんだったそう。
てっきりここが「花の御所」だと思ってた人多いんじゃないですか？

銀閣寺…
8代将軍・義政の元別荘。金閣寺に対して銀閣寺と呼ばれるだけで、
リアルプラチナとかじゃありません。
本人は、こんな激シブよりも金閣寺のようなゴージャスなのがよかったそうですが…
この時代に発達したわび・さび文化の権化ですね。

After Yoritomo died,
Kamakura Bakufu had continued by his sons
and the Hōjo clan that was related to Yoritomo’s wife Masako.

But, the emperor who was oppressed by Bakufu
and country SAMURAI(called as“Akutō”) disagreed with Bakufu took action.

The most famous person of Akutō is Kusunoki Masashige.
He fought to overthrow the Shogunate for the emperor.
Ashikaga Takauji who was influenced by him also worked to overthrow the Shogunate.

In 1333, Kamakura Bakufu fell.


Although the government by the emperor started,
this emperor incurred the displeasure of SAMURAI.
Because he didn’t know the life of SAMURAI…

Then, Takauji rose in revolt against the emperor.
In my opinion, he was so smart
because he took on the part of the Shougunate or
on the part of the emperor on the situation…

He made the emperor fall from power
and set new Muromachi Bakufu in Kyoto.

But yesterday’s friend is today’s enemy.
The war between Takauji’s young brother
and his good partner Kō-no Moronao broke out.


In Muromachi era, while Japanese traditional building and culture
like Kinkaku-ji, Kyōgen, Ginkaku-ji, wabi-sabi culture　were developed,
some rebellions by farmers and believers broke out.

Ōnin-no Ran started from just a family feud
and caused struggled for Shogun and burned down Kyoto.
Because of this war, Gion matsuri was canceled…!!


Apart from such a fool Bakufu,
local SAMURAI gradually came to appear…

Kinkaku-ji
As you know, Kinkaku-ji is so gorgeous building covered with gold.
Once upon a time, Yoshimitsu who was the 3rd Shogun of Muromachi Bakufu lived here.

Ginkaku-ji
Ginkaku-ji was originally 8th Shogun of Muromachi Bakufu Yoshimasa’s vacation house.
This temple wasn’t made of silver and was a symbol of wabi-sabi culture
that developed at that time.
