さて、3月も半ば！
そろそろ桜のシーズン。

というわけで、今回は桜と武士がテーマ。


前回も書きましたが

我々が現在知っている武士道といものは
江戸時代に説かれるようになりました。

で

サムライとは、

忠義を大事に、

ストイックに、

潔く生きるべし。


的な、概念が広まっていったのです。


で、桜のゴージャスな咲きっぷりと
散る時は潔く散る、とゆー姿を
見習うべしと、考えられたそうで。

だから、サムライにとって
桜こそが、理想の生き方だったとゆー。


今でも殉死ってゆーと美化されちゃいますが

まさしく殉死こそ美徳だーみたいな考えだったっつーことですね。

わー女泣かせ…


ちなみに

桜という言葉には
「さ」（＝農業のカミサマ）、「くら」（カミサマのおわすところ）
っつー意味合いがあるとかなんとか。

なのでお花見は、

もともとは、豊作を願った祭りとか
農作の合間のブレイクというもの。


それが、奈良時代には
貴族の方々が、うふふーと優雅に愛で、

時代が流れ、江戸時代にもなると
一気に大衆の習慣になっちゃうわけですな。


とゆーわけで、今回はおすすめお花見スポットをご紹介。

＜洛中＞
二条城…
前にも書きましたが、徳川家康が作ったお城で世界遺産。
3/25～4/19は夜間ライトアップしていて、
通りからみるとかなり迫力あり。
でもって、お茶席とか和太鼓演奏とかもする模様…

平野神社…
いわずもがな、桜の名所。50種の桜が400本ほどあるとか。
4/10桜花祭の13時～は、花山車や織姫とゆー格好の

＜洛東＞
哲学の道…
ものを思いながら哲学者が歩いたとゆー
もはや観光ガイドの常連スポット。
年がら年中散歩にはうってつけですが、桜時期もグー。

インクライン…
琵琶湖・京都間を走った鉄道跡。
桜を見ながら、スタンドバイミーぽく
レールの上をひたすら歩いてもいいかも。（ひたりすぎ？）

祇園白川…
昼間はアマカメラマンががっつりカメラ抱えてるんすが
夜、ほろ酔い気分で見ると、なーんだかぜいたくな気分。
（ほんとは川沿いの高そーなお店から見たいんですけどね）

＜洛西＞
嵐山…
当然、観光客だらけですが！
ボートを借りて大堰川からのんびり桜見物って手もありますぜ。

仁和寺…
桜といえば、いっつも見上げるんですが（で、首痛くなったり）
ここの桜は、背が低い！
ちなみに「御室の桜で春はおしまい」と言われるほどの遅咲き。

善峰寺…
寺は山の中にあると言ったのは誰だったか…
境内、坂ばっか。
でも桂昌院お手植えのしだれ桜とか
遊龍の松は「おおぅ!?」てぐらいの長さで。横にね？

だいぶ面白い（酸素足りんくておかしかったのかも）

＜洛北＞
半木の道…
鴨川は、北～南どこをとっても桜のスポットですが
北大路橋から北山橋までの河川敷・半木の道は、
植樹された紅しだれ桜がトンネル状態。

＜郊外＞
醍醐寺…
戦国の天下人、秀吉が派手に花見をした場所。
それにちなんだ豊太閤花見行列が、4月第2日曜に行われます。
秀吉やら淀君にコスプレした人たちが行列をなすんだそうで…

井手町玉川…
去年の4月頭に、宇治茶の取材に行った帰りに遭遇しました！
井手町さくらまつり！！
京都のかなり南にあったのですが、川沿いいっぱい桜・桜・桜！
桜のアーチでしたよ～（写真はそのときのデス）

Well, spring has come!
We can see cherry blossoms by and by.
Today’s theme is cherry blossoms and SAMURAI.


Bushi-do that we know was established at Edo period.

The way represents SAMURAI should be
loyal, stoic, and noble.


Also, it was thought that
SAMURAI had to be like cherry blossoms that
were in gorgeous bloom and gone gracefully.

In other words, the lives of cherry blossoms was
the ideal for SAMURAI.


By the way,
it is said that ‘sa’of Sakura means the God of agriculture and
‘kura’means the place being the God.

Because such a reason,
Ohanami was originally the festival to pray good harvest or
a break during farming.


In Nara period,
Ohanami meant that the Noble enjoyed seeing cherry blossoms.

In Edo period,
Ohanami became the custom for the public.


Today, I will introduce some recommended spots for cherry blossoms.


Nijō-jō…
Nijō-jō will be illuminated for 3/25～4/19.

Hirano-jinja…
Hirano-jinja is one of popular spots for cherry blossoms.
On 10th April, Ōka-sai is opened; people that dressed in
beautiful kimono and so on go around from 1pm.

Tetsugaku no michi (The street of philosophy)
This street was named after an episode that a philosopher walked thinking.
All around year, it is good place for taking a walk.

This incline was used to run between Kyoto and Biwa-ko lake.

Arashiyama…
Of course, there are a lot of tourists around Arashiyama!
Would you borrow the boat and enjoy Ohanami on Ōi-gawa river?

Ninna-ji…
Almost Cherry blossoms are tall as you must look up
but cherry blossoms in Ninna-ji are short.
In addition, these cherry blossoms are popular for
being late-blooming and are said that
spring comes to end when cherry blossoms in Ninna-ji would fall.

Yoshimine-dera…
There are a lot of slopes in the precincts of a temple!
But you can enjoy weeping cherry tree planted by Shōgun’s mother and
“Yūryū no matsu” pine tree is long sideway!

Nakaragi no michi…
You can see cherry blossoms blooming along Kamo-gawa river.
In particular, there is tunnel by cherry blossoms
between Kitaōji-bashi and Kitayama-bashi.

Daigo-ji…
Toyotomi Hideyoshi carried out Ohanami here.
A parade that is connected with him holds on the 2nd Sunday, April.
You can see people that dressed up as Hideyoshi and Yodo-gimi, his wife.

I discovered “Ide-chō Sakura festival” by chance last year!
Along Tama-gawa river, there are a lot of cherry blossoms!!!
